Term-Time Leave of Absence

We strongly encourage families to plan holidays and trips during school holiday periods whenever possible, as regular attendance is very important for your child’s learning.

Leave during term time should be avoided and, wherever possible, restricted to school holidays.

If you believe there are exceptional or extenuating circumstances that require your child to take leave during term time, you must complete a Leave of Absence form.

Please ensure:

• The form is submitted before any holiday or travel is booked

• A minimum of three weeks’ notice is given prior to the proposed absence.

• If leave has been booked - tickets/booking forms should be submitted to show leaving/returning dates including the destination

Requests will be considered in line with school policy and current attendance regulations.
