"Friends of Bassett Green" is the registered charity (116778) of Bassett Green Primary School

Hello from the Friends of Bassett Green!

We love our school and seek to support it in any way we can. We formed originally as a PTA in 2014 and were successful in applying for charitable status in 2018. We have helped the school by organising a variety of fundraising events and initiatives throughout the school year. The funds raised have been used to improve educational resources in our learning environments and been a massive benefit to our school community.

It has been hard to find people to help regularly or to join the committee so.....from September 2025 we are changing the way we do things. Moving forward we will not follow the usual PTA model (with a committee and meetings) like other schools. Instead, we have a new plan!

We plan to use our status as a charity to help the school in a new way.

We will still:

• Bring people in the school community together
• Raise money for the school

...but now we want EVERYONE to feel they can help with events- not just a small group.

You might want to run;

• a cake sale
• a quiz night
• a clothes swap
• an art or craft evening
• a barn dance

Posters will be going up around the school- they will have a QR code you can scan with your phone that will take you to a short online form.

You can use the form to tell us your idea for an event....then we will help you make it happen!

We are very excited about this new way of working together and can't wait to see what this next academic year brings!
