Do you have the inspiration and vision to lead a large primary school to improve its educational profile? We are a Foundation School and part of the thriving Aspire Community Trust[1], maintained by the Southampton Local Authority, with our own Headteacher and autonomous Governing Body.

At Bassett Green Primary School we provide a challenging environment to encourage children to achieve their very best. We want every child to have the opportunities, support and encouragement needed to develop their academic, social, creative and physical abilities to the full.  Would you like to be part of this vision and work with other dedicated staff to take the school from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ and beyond and to build on the rapid progress made under the leadership of the current Headteacher? A collaborative approach and a strong commitment to continuous improvement are essential together with a willingness to work with leaders of our partner schools in the Trust.
