Behaviour Intervention Officer with PE Study Support


Start date: 1st September 2017. Fixed Term until 31st August 2018.


  • 37 hours per week, term time only (Core hours between 08.45 – 16.30)
  • Grade 6 £19,694 - £22,658 (FTE)


We are looking for a highly motivated person to support the way forward in behaviour interventions across the school, with additional responsibilities to include delivery of high quality professional coaching activities during school hours and after school provision.


The successful candidate will be a key member of our Behaviour Intervention Team, working across the school. Additionally, they will be required to cover PE lessons on an ad hoc basis, as well as offering after school sporting activities.


You must be able to:


  • identify and work with pupils at risk
  • understand the communicative function of behaviour
  • plan and lead specific interventions, create support packages and monitor their effectiveness
  • work with a flexible team approach.
  • communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals
  • to establish and lead/coach out of school sports clubs, encouraging attendance in particular from children who do not usually participate in sport
