School Librarian


We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated colleague with a positive attitude to join our team to progress our Library provision across school.


Your role will include issuing and returning of books, keeping  library resources clean and tidy,  preparing new stock, liaising with outside agencies but most importantly you will be involved in supporting our pupils choose books that will interest and excite them.


Candidates should have Library and/or school experience and be able to continue making our school library an inspiring place for our pupils to enjoy their reading journey.


  • Start Date 1st September 2019, or as soon after.
  • Core hours will be 12.00 until 16.00, Monday – Friday.
  • 39 working weeks (term time only).
  • Salary Grade 5, Scale Point 7 -11  £19,134 FTE.

Lunchtime MDSA & Play Leader

  • Grade 3 Scale Point 4
  • 5.5 Hours per week
  • Term time only
  • Closing date 12 noon- 23rd June 2019


To join our hard working and supportive team of Lunch time supervisors and Play Leaders, ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of children during the lunchtime period.


The role involves:

  • Helping to set up and organise our pupils during lunch times in the hall, outside play areas, and inside during wet play.
  • Encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating.
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils at all times.
  • Supervising and supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate in lunchtime activities.
  • Promoting independence, equality, fair play and excellent behaviour within the ethos of the school

Volunteer Vacancies

We are always keen to welcome volunteers to our school to support our children in their learning.   Volunteer opportunities can be flexible to fit around your work, study or family commitments, and you can make a commitment to help for a certain number of days, weeks or terms.


Current Vacancies - Reading Volunteers


We are currently recruiting volunteers to support with reading in school. Reading volunteers will be working 1:1 with children to listen to children read, support with phonics skills, and check reading comprehension. Volunteers will work under the direction of the class teacher.  The minimum commitment for this volunteer role will be one hour each week.  Please complete the Volunteering Form below to find out more.
