Deputy Head Teacher

 

Job Title:          Deputy Head Teacher.

Pay Scale:         L11-L15

Working Time:  September 2018 or January 2019.

                        Full time as specified within the School Teachers’ Pay

                         and Conditions Document, Leadership Scale

 

Responsible to: Headteacher

 

Job Purpose: To work in partnership with the Headteacher to raise standards and to

increase the rates of attainment and progress across the school.

Lunchtime MDSA & Play Leader

  • Grade 4 Scale Point 12 (£16,382 FTE, Actual Pro rata £2,074)
  • 5.5 Hours per week
  • Term time only
  • Closing date 12 noon 29th April 2018

To join our hard working and supportive team of Lunch time supervisors and Play Leaders, ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of children during the lunchtime period.

 

The role involves:

  • Helping to set up and organise our pupils during lunch times in the hall, outside play areas, and inside during wet play.
  • Encouraging good manners and supporting healthy eating.
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of all our pupils at all times.
  • Supervising and supporting play activities and encouraging children to participate in lunchtime activities.
  • Promoting independence, equality, fair play and excellent behaviour within the ethos of the school

Year Leader with responsibility for a Year group and a core subject across the school
 
To teach high quality lessons to children throughout the primary age range.

To take an active and positive role in the development of the school, as a member of ththe Leadership team.

To ensure high standards of attainment and progress across the assigned year group.

To lead the development of a core subject across the whole school (English, Maths, Science)

Behaviour Intervention Officer with PE Study Support

 

Start date: 1st September 2018.

 

  • 37 hours per week, term time only (Core hours between 08.45 – 16.30)
  • Grade 6 £20,088-£23,111 (FTE)

 

We are looking for a highly motivated person to support the way forward in behaviour interventions across the school, with additional responsibilities to include delivery of high quality professional coaching activities during school hours and after school provision.

 

The successful candidate will be a key member of our Behaviour Intervention Team, working across the school. Additionally, they will be required to cover PE lessons on an ad hoc basis, as well as offering after school sporting activities, and supporting fixtures and festivals.

opportunity to play a key role in teaching and learning across the school, providing release

time for members of the Senior Leadership Team, and providing regular cover in a Year R

class one day per week

We are always keen to welcome volunteers to our school to support our children in their learning.   Volunteer opportunities can be flexible to fit around your work, study or family commitments, and you can make a commitment to help for a certain number of days, weeks or terms.

 

Current Vacancies - Reading Volunteers

 

We are currently recruiting volunteers to support with reading in school. Reading volunteers will be working 1:1 with children to listen to children read, support with phonics skills, and check reading comprehension. Volunteers will work under the direction of the class teacher.  The minimum commitment for this volunteer role will be one hour each week.  Please complete the Volunteering Form below to find out more.

We support work experience placements for KS4/5 students, as well as those looking to apply for teacher training.  Please be aware that we receive a high volume of applications at peak times, and may not be able to accommodate all requests.
