Week 5: continuing rhythms - semiquavers and bar lines!
15th March: We had a visit from Baby SUSO, players from the Southampton University Symphony Orchestra

Brooke had a turn at being the conductor

One pupil said, "I was feeling really peaceful because I had a hard day that day and it was really calming."
Another said, "I didn't know the violin would be there and I want to learn it so it's really inspiring."

Week 7 Halloween Inspiration! Jake wrote a rap and Mrs Williams typed it just as he'd written. Pupils then had to cut and stick as a rap. Jake decided this was the best.

Autumn Term Rap Project
We started by remembering what we had learned from the wonderful Mrs Philips in Year 4!
In week 2 we got to use the new bucket drums to create a rhythm. It was loud!

We made the rhythm strong on 2 beats only. Can you tell from the screenshot if the strong beats are 1 and 3 or 2 and 4? Which beat emphasis would we use for a rap?
