Bats my turn your turn
bats 2nd time.mp3
Assessment Week: Not everyone could be video'd in Hedgehogs class but they were all so impressive playing together.
Assessment Week: Hedgehogs copying the melody

Week 5: Learning to play the keyboard can be tricky. This week we used iPads and tried to use our whole hand for this. Jude has really mastered it well.

Boudicca Topic: An has learnt the melody with a lovely rhythm

Danah has also learnt the melody

Hedgehogs class had a good go at accompanying the video

End of unit assessment: Hedgehogs class. Proud to SHOUT about how much we have remembered about dynamics!
Week 4: combining percussion, singing and dynamics. Tricky, but we're getting there

Week 3: Nikoleta wrote this music on the stave all by herself! Amazing! Make sure G is on a line, not a space but apart from that you are spot on!
Week 2: playing the Volcano Song on Glockenspiels (no dynamics yet, we're still learning!)

Frere Jacques backing track
Spring 1: Volcanoes (dynamics!)
Week 1: We explored Italian words for loud and quiet - forte and piano (say it for-tay and pee-ah-no)
Mrs Williams wrote lyrics to Frere Jacques:
Walking softly, Walking softly, Up the side, Up the side, Hear a huge eruption, Hear a huge eruption, Run and hide, Run and hide.
Can you sing it.
What sort of dynamics do you think we are going to use for our accompanying percussion composition?
Week 5 - Learning our music with stave notation - learning to add rhythm
Week 4 creating melody for our chorus - Bats Class
Week 3: We have titles for our class songs.
Bats: Memories
Hedgehogs: Better World
This week we were thinking of lyrics to make a catchy chorus. Next week we will make some melodies so we can sing them.
Look at this video inspired by the first week of Big Dreams. Mrs Williams heard the pitch and wrote it for everyone to play
