School Uniform
We believe that wearing a school uniform allows children to feel part of the School community, representing the School’s colours and logo illustrating the core values as they learn and grow at Bassett Green Primary.
Uniform should be worn every day. In line with Government guidelines we are committed to ensuring that our school uniform is affordable. We have therefore selected affordable and practical items of clothing suitable for the school day.

Children in Year R will take part in outdoor learning every day, regardless of the weather so please ensure that they come to school fully prepared to go outside. They will also be learning lots of new skills, and may come home a little dirty, especially if they have been trying out a new experience!
Children in year R will be provided with a branded book bag free of charge at the beginning of the school year.
Please also note that any jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets or rings are not practical or safe to wear and therefore, in line with our policy, these must not be worn. If a child wears earrings, these must be studs and earrings will need to be removed for PE. Long hair will also need to be tied back.
If children choose to bring personal items to school they will be responsible for them, they may be asked to hand them in and collect at the end of the day either from the teacher or school office.
