Non Violent Resistance (NVR)
NVR is an 8 week parenting course for parents dealing with challenging behaviour such as violence, self harm and school refusal. Parent learn how to repair relationships with children and de-escalate difficult situations.

Helping Children with Anxiety:
A new course for parents looking at what anxiety is and how to help your child mange it.
Makaton Level 1: Starts Tuesday October 1st 2019 and runs for 4 weeks 9.15 am -12.00 pm.
Healthy Cookery On A Budget: Tuesday mornings after Autumn half term 2019.
Support Work In Schools and Colleges Level 2: This will run in January 2020 on Tuesday mornings for two terms and learners gain a qualification at the end.
On Fridays in term time, we have a parents coffee group in the school staff room from 9.00-10.30 am. Come along, have a cuppa, a biscuit and a chat. We sometimes have speakers on topics of interest. Upcoming topics:

Friday 19th July 2019 -no coffee group as last day of term.
Every Friday from 1-3 pm we have Creative Club for parents in the community room at Sure Start Swaythling. This is a great opportunity to learn how to knit, crochet or sew, no previous knowledge required. If you are already experienced please come along and share your talents! If you would like to draw, colour or do other crafts or just join for a chat you are very welcome. This is a nice end of week quiet space for parents before the weekend gets going!
