The English classes ran very well last term and WEA are due to start the second set of 10 weeks tomorrow with the same students. Students are committed and benefiting from the classes. There were 11 students that attended in the morning and 12 in the afternoon and we are expecting these students to return this term. This course finishes on Thursday 23 March 2017. We would like to continue to offer an English class after Easter and are currently in the process of negotiating with Surestart for the use of the room.

Emotional First Aid for Parents starts here on January 17th. This is a fun, free course for parents who want to learn how to look after themselves, especially their own emotional wellbeing. The course runs for 6 weeks and has had fabulous outcomes nationally. At the beginning of the course, national figures report that only 10% of participants reported having a high wellbeing. By the end of the course this had risen to 31%!

Similarly, prior to the course starting 31% reported low wellbeing but by the end of the course this had dropped to 8%.

This terms course is now full but if you are interested in a course later this year then please see Cindy to get your name on the reserve list!

After Christmas coffee morning will change to a FRIDAY!

Come into reading with your child at 9am, then pop into the staffroom for a coffee and a chat. Some weeks will be a drop in, some will feature a guest requested by parents. In January we will have someone from the University fitness suite to talk about their great value family membership. Ruth, the School Nurse will talk about sleep and answer any questions you may have and Yas will be here to talk about how you can access English lessons and qualifications.

Everybody welcome, we look forward to seeing you!
